Charitable Remainder Sale: The American Friends Service Committee received a wonderful donation of a lovely residential home in San Francisco. When the donor passed away, we needed to help clear the house of her personal belongings and prepare the house for sale. As we interviewed realtors, we were deeply impressed by Nancy’s extensive and detailed knowledge of the real estate market, by her candor about current market conditions, and by her experience with vendors who could help us with matters relating to our donor’s personal property. She made a daunting, long-distance process simple and manageable. Nancy’s expert eye for preparing the property–and her good work with vendors who accomplished the heavy lifting–helped us get the house on the market promptly. Her very attractive marketing of the property generated much interest in the midst of a very difficult real estate market, and we quickly received and accepted an offer for over the asking price.
