Is insurance the answer to long term care?

As we are aging (which of course we all are!) we wonder about how we are going to provide for long term care when the time comes.  Especially with the future of Social Security and Medicare in question, what insurance coverage  should we have in place?  Is it life insurance, long term care insurance, or will VA benefits cover our needs?  Take a look at the article at http://www.careforcalifornia.net/articles/article-2012-01-11.htm  to answer some of these questions.

Fiduciaries: How can they help you?

A fiduciary is a professional who serves as the trustee of a trust, managing investments or finances when there is no one else to do so, or even when there is, to assist those who can't or don't want to take care of this on their own.  Fiduciaries will often advocate for clients with insurance plans, government agencies and pension plans.  in addition they can function as conservators of estate or person, taking care of day-to-day needs as they arise.  For more information about how a fiduciary can assist you or your loved ones, go to the Professional Fiduciary Association of CA http://www.pfac-pro.org/ohana/website/index.cfm?p=118001or take a look at the article at  http://www.examiner.com/estate-planning-in-san-francisco/private-professional-fiduciary
